1)
First, you need to remove all 3rd party binary drivers such as NVIDIA or AMD graphics card driver.

sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia-185-*
sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia-current-*
sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia-glx-185

Then run
#sudo update-manager -d

Reboot the system
#sudo reboot

would ......
1.if not uninstalled, is there any harm ?
2.or is it the upgrade wouldn't happen without uninstallation of 3rd party apps ?
3.Works anyways i.e with or withour uninstall of 3rd party apps ?
